Why Are You Passionate About the Work You Do?

One of the original cofounders of Mariner Wealth Advisors in 2006, Jason is passionate about helping advisors positively impact the lives of many. He is part of the Corporate Development team that leads the efforts for the strategic lift-out of advisors and teams, assessing and identifying key talent for recruiting as well as helping lead RIA firm acquisitions across the U.S.

Experience and Education

Jason has long been part of the financial services industry. Prior to rejoining Mariner Wealth Advisors in 2020 after cofounding the firm in 2006 and serving as a partner and senior wealth consultant until 2012, he was head of distribution at Tortoise Capital Advisors. Before that, he worked at Montage Investments as managing director, national sales. Earlier in his career, he was senior vice president at A.G. Edwards & Sons.

Jason holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Pittsburg State University and is an Accredited Investment Fiduciary® designee.

Away from the office, Jason believes in community service. He currently sits on the board of directors for the Band of Angels. He is a former board member of the Salvation Army, YMCA, the Pittsburg Chamber of Commerce and the United Way.
