I enjoy learning how different business models in the same sphere can be successful. You can see the sense of relief sellers have when their years of hard work are rewarded and how excited they are to continue growing their business with the assistance of our firm’s offerings. I enjoy helping the seller be comfortable throughout the process by building rapport to guide and answer questions.

Experience and Education

Sam assists the corporate development & strategy team by drafting of legal documents required in an acquisition and other strategic relationships. He navigates the legal landscape from a business and strategic initiative perspective. He also assists in leading execution matters as it pertains to the acquisition process.

Prior to joining Mariner Wealth Advisors, Sam was a chartered attorney at Wheeler & Mitchelson Chartered, where he practiced corporate law and worked on mergers and acquisitions, general taxation and estate planning.

Sam has a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts and sciences and a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Kansas.
